This had me chuckling a few times. I know one’s judgment goes completely out the window when too many adult beverages have been consumed, but I’ll never understand why these rich athletes still drive themselves around when they are out drinking…

The Netflix Price Increase
The Netflix price increase is not good news, but I’m not sure I get why there is so much widespread outrage. Part of me thinks it is generated by all the media coverage online, and accordingly, people seeing all the Netflix headlines while online. My big question is, why isn’t there similar outrage and media firestorm when Comcast raises their monthly rates by $5-6 on an annual...

How is Berman still getting high profile gigs? The ESPN powers-that-be really don’t seem to be too concerned with public opinion when it comes to Berman, who long ago devolved into a parody of himself.

Bill Simmons offers the answers to solving the NBA... →
Overall, a lot of Simmons going Simmons (definitely could have done without the “snarky blogger” footnote), but pretty good stuff. I appreciate his coming up with ideas that are outside the box, even if they wouldn’t be quite as simple to implement as he makes them sound.

Now the Mavs have to win 3 out of 4. I really can’t stomach the Heat winning the title, but they definitely look like the superior team. However, they do seem to go through spells where they don’t play hard or smart. It’s not over yet, but not looking good…

I’m beginning to think I need to switch to the Nook from the Kindle. Color touch screen, more apps, flash support, email access…seems like it offers more beyond just reading a book.

I think this sums up the deal real well. Love the “star-humpers” line. That’s a valid point that I’ve often thought about too. Even in today’s youtube age of easy access to video, do players born in the 90s really give a rip about guys whose best days were in the 80s?

Watching NCIS
In the last 6 weeks, after only watching it once before 2011, I have become a somewhat avid fan of NCIS. I’ve been watching episodes of past seasons on USA, watched the last few new episodes on CBS, even downloaded a handful of episodes on iTunes. Does this mean I’ve official crossed over to the “old” side of pop culture? Actually, I probably was already done when I...

Google News Frustrations...
Attention Google News - Links to articles from such dubious sites as the Yahoo Contributor Network, Associated Content, Bleacher Report, etc. should not be featured prominently on your front page. Especially ones with titles like “Top Five Steelers Jokes.” Call me crazy, but I don’t think that constitutes news. Hopefully Bing is not copying this flawed part of your...

5 Ways an Amazon Prime Video Streaming Service... →
Interesting article. If you ask me, I think it all comes down to content. If Amazon can get more recent movies and TV episodes than what Netflix’s streaming service currently offers, than this really could be a strong offering from them.
